THE JOURNEY OF TRUE CONVERSION

1. GOD'S CALLING

John 6:44 - "No one can come to Me unless the Father... draws him."

• Conversion begins with God, not human effort.

• God calls through His Word, circumstances, and the Holy Spirit.

• The call is personal and persistent.

Reflection: How has God called you in your life?

2. CONVICTION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

John 16:8 - The Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment.

• Conviction is God awakening the heart, not condemning it.

• It reveals our need for forgiveness and transformation.

• The call is personal and persistent.

Reflection: What has the Spirit revealed to you about your need for Christ?

3. REPENTANCE

Acts 3:19 - "Repent and be converted."

• Repentance is turning away from sin and turning toward God.

• It is a Spirit-empowered change of heart, mind, and direction.

• True repentance produces new desires and new habits.

Reflection: What does genuine repentance look like in your daily walk?

4. HEARING THE WORD & KNOWING GOD

Romans 10:17 - Faith comes by hearing the Word.

• Scripture reveals God's character and His plan of salvation.

• True conversion is relational - knowing God personally, not just intellectually.

• The Word strengthens faith and shapes the heart.

Reflection: How can you deepen your relationship with God through His Word?

5. FAITH IN THE SACRIFICE OF JESUS

Ephesians 2:8 - Saved by grace through faith.

• Faith accepts Jesus as Savior, Substitute, and Lord.

• It rests on His finished work, not our performance.

• True faith produces obedience and transformation.

Reflection: What does trusting Jesus fully mean to you?

6. BAPTISM

Romans 6:3-4 - Baptism symbolizes death to sin and new life in Christ.

• It is a public declaration of allegiance to Jesus.

• It marks the beginning of a new identity and new walk.

• Baptism unites us with Christ and His church.

Reflection: Why is baptism an essential step in conversion?

7. LIVING A SPIRIT-FILLED LIFE

1 Corinthians 6:19 - We are the temple of the Holy Spirit.

• The Spirit produces the fruit of character (Gal. 5:22-23).

• He empowers obedience, guides into truth, and shapes us into Christ's image.

• A converted life glorifies God in thoughts, actions, and relationships.

Reflection: Which fruit of the Spirit do you want God to grow in you this week?

"True conversion is a journey: God calls the Spirit convicts; we repent we hear the Word, we believe we are baptized, we live a Spirit-filled Iife".
